Online Booking

  • Please check and amend any errors before placing your order with us. If you need to make a change after booking, please go to My Passport where you can manage all bookings and extras.
  • You MUST book online before visiting. If you arrive without a prior booking, you may be refused entry.
  • Tickets are available online right up to the arrival time, provided the session has not been filled. Bookings can be managed through your passport account up to 48 hours before the arrival time.
  • If you arrive at the farm without all your party, unfortunately no compensation can be offered for unused tickets if you haven’t managed your booking at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • All tickets are none refundable. The customer can cancel a booking and credit the value of tickets for use another time, up to 48 hours before the time on their ticket. This is managed via the passport account. If you checked out as guest, you can email us to assist on bookings@cannonhallfarm.co.uk.
  • We reserve the right to change our ticket prices or withdraw promotions at any time.
  • Only one promotion may be used per booking.
  • If you have a physical ticket or gift voucher, you will still need to book an available slot online before arrival. You must bring these with you to be surrendered upon entry to the farm. Failure to produce the physical pass/voucher will mean the free ticket is invalid and the ticket holder will be charged the current farm entry price.
  • Change will not be given for gift vouchers.
  • Registered carers are entitled to one free ticket when accompanying a paying individual. Please add these tickets when booking, under concessions.
  • Proof of registered carer status is required in the form of a DLA or PIP entitlement letter, a blue badge, or a letter from a Doctor/Consultant/NHS Governing body or similar detailing requirements for a carer. Please note, that this is for standard farm admission only. Any event requests, please contact us separately.
  • Failure to provide this information at the farm entrance will mean the free ticket is invalid, and the ticket holder will be charged the current farm entry price.
  • Max Card holders are entitled to buy one, get one free for a total of up to four tickets per max card (add two paid, and two free tickets to your basket to qualify for the maximum amount). Each free Max Card ticket must be accompanied by a full price paying ticket. Please remember to bring your Max Card(s) with you. Your Max card(s) must be signed and in date. Failure to produce valid Max Card(s) at the farm entrance will mean that the free Max Card tickets are invalid, and those ticket holders will be charged the current farm entry price. Max Cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount. Max Card terms apply.
  • All adults and children require a ticket. Children under 2 are free, but proof of age may be required.
  • Please arrive for your chosen time. Once in the farm, you may stay until closing. Please check our opening hours.
  • You may enter and exit the farm throughout the day. You will need to provide your original booking information again for re-entry to the farm.
  • Tickets cannot be resold for financial or commercial gain.

Events

  • Please check all information when booking entry to an event.
  • Farm passes may not be used for entry into all events so do check which ones are accepted before you book.
  • You must book all event tickets in advance online.
  • We reserve the right to alter prices and descriptions of our events at any time, without notice.
  • Refunds policy
    • Our tickets are non-refundable. However, amendments can be made to bookings up to 48 hours before arrival time, within your passport account.
    • Tickets may be credited to the user’s passport account to use at a future date.
    • VIP experiences are non-refundable unless due to exceptional circumstances: e.g. serious illness/injury, pregnancy or bereavement. This is at Cannon Hall Farm’s discretion.

Vehicle Parking

  • Ticket price does not include parking. Parking charges apply per vehicle.
  • On arrival, please make yourself known to one of our stewards, who will direct you to a space.
  • All day parking is £3.00, 2 hours parking is £1. Parking is free for blue badge holders.
  • This can be paid for online (all day parking only), at one of our parking meters, or to a member of staff.
  • You can now pay for parking when booking your tickets or add them on later through your passport account.
  • We are not responsible for damage or loss of a vehicle or its contents.
  • Please ensure you correctly park in Cannon Hall Farm’s car park and not the museum car park which is run by Barnsley Council. Our tickets are not valid in any other car park other than ours.

During your visit

  • We reserve the right to close attractions or move animals at short notice. We will not provide compensation for animals not being in view during your visit.
  • In the interest of animal welfare, we reserve the right to alter the daily schedule, including animal talks and tractor rides, at short notice.
  • We are a no smoking site. Do not smoke/vape anywhere on the farm. You may be asked to leave if you fail to comply with this rule.
  • Inappropriate behaviour around the farm is prohibited. We have the right to refuse entry, or escort individuals from the premises due to behaviour we deem to be inappropriate. This includes, but is not limited to; abusive language, aggressive/threatening behaviour to people or animals, intoxication, and not following safety rules.
  • Please follow all health and safety guidelines as instructed, either verbally by a member of staff, or as noted on signage across our site.
  • Children should be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times. Visitors under the age of 16 must have an adult with them.
  • Outdoor play areas may be partially or completely closed during extreme weather.
  • Dogs are not allowed into the farm attraction, with the exception of assistance dogs. However, dogs can be taken into The Lucky Pup café just outside the entrance to the farm. Do not leave any animals unattended, or in a vehicle in our car park. Proof may be required for any assistance dogs being brought onto the farm.
  • We recommend that visitors wear suitable footwear.

During your visit

  • Bags of animal feed can be purchased at £1.00 each.
  • You can purchase these when booking online, add them to a previous booking in ‘manage bookings’, or purchase at the farm on the day, either at the farm entrance, or from our animal feed vending machines.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Our animal feed contains GLUTEN and should not be handled by people with a NUT, PEANUT or SOYA allergy.
  • Please take note of signs around the farm, as the feed is not suitable for all our animals.
  • Our animal feed is not for human consumption.

General VIP Experience Terms

  • VIP Experiences vouchers will be valid for 12 months from the date of redemption into your account and must be registered into your Cannon Hall Farm account within three months of receipt. Some experiences are only available at certain times of the year so please check this at the point of purchase and on booking. If you are unable to attend on any of the dates given, Cannon Hall Farm may offer you alternative experiences.
  • All purchases of VIP Experiences are non-refundable.
  • With the majority of our experiences, we strongly recommend you book a minimum of 8 weeks before your visit; however, due to high demand on certain products and specific times of year, we suggest you book a date further in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • All of our experiences and tours are subject to availability.
  • Cannon Hall Farm reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the farm should they behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner and no refunds will be offered.
  • Where physical gift packs/passes have been requested, these will usually be delivered by APC. Cannon Hall Farm cannot be held responsible for any delivery delays following dispatch. Please contact us if they haven’t arrived after 7 days.
  • Cannon Hall Farm Gift Vouchers are not redeemable against VIP Experiences.
  • If you purchase a VIP Experience, these cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given.
  • When your order has been confirmed your voucher will be dispatched to the address specified if you selected a postage option. If you chose the digital option, it will be sent to the recipient digitally - please ensure you type the addresses in carefully.
  • It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the information you have supplied to us is accurate prior to making a purchase. Cannon Hall Farm will not be held responsible for items/emails being sent to an incorrect recipient as a result of this.
  • If you have purchased a VIP Experience, you must book a date in advance. Should you arrive with no specific date booked, then Cannon Hall Farm will offer an alternative where available, in exchange for what has been purchased, or you can leave the farm and call us to book the experience in for a future date.
  • Please note that there will be some variation in the experiences dependent on the time of year that you visit.
  • Cannon Hall Farm requires VIP guests to arrive at the farm entrance 15 minutes before their experience start time.
  • If you do not book in your VIP experience to take place within the given validity, the voucher will become void and cannot be extended, refunded, or transferred.

Specific VIP experience Requirements

  • Each experience carries its own terms and conditions. These are noted at the foot of each VIP experience information page. Please ensure you read these thoroughly prior to booking. Refunds will not be given for failure to read our terms and conditions.
  • Each experience/tour carries a minimum age for a reason, and children under 17 years old must have an adult with them on certain experiences, who also has a VIP ticket. Please adhere to this when booking otherwise it may result in our farmers turning you away on the day.
  • There will be no refunds offered if you do not adhere to age restrictions.
  • Participating adults are entirely responsible for any accompanying participating children and must ensure they are capable of undertaking the tasks required of them within the experience or tour.
  • It is up to the individual to assess their own fitness levels, and that of any supervised participating children, for each experience as some do require a degree of fitness.
  • Cannon Hall Farm reserves the right to ask you not to continue with an experience if we feel you are not physically able to partake.
  • It is the responsibility of the participating individual to make Cannon Hall Farm aware in writing of any serious health complaint or allergy that may put themselves or others at risk.
  • The VIP animal experiences are not suitable for those with severe hay, dust, or animal allergies, with the exception of the Reptile House Keeper Experience.
  • Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved. Please email the farm with any queries about the most suitable experiences.
  • Please note that the farm animal VIP animal experiences are not suitable for people who are pregnant, or who have auto-immune conditions, due to the risks involved with hands-on contact. Those who are immuno-compromised or on immuno-suppressants are advised to contact the farm before booking.
  • Participants are required to wear long sleeves and long bottoms, preferably not loose fitting and which they do not mind getting dirty. Footwear must be closed-toe, waterproof shoes (e.g., wellies or walking boots) as participants will be required to use foot dips when passing through animal enclosures. A spare change of footwear can be brought and changed in to for the experience.
  • Cannon Hall Farm staff reserve the right to refuse to run the experience or tour if participants are deemed to not be clothed appropriately or safely.
  • Personal belongings must be left in the reception area and cannot be taken on any of the experiences.
  • All animals, regardless of species and normal temperament, can be unpredictable. Although we will only be introducing participants to animals that are used to human contact and have passed our health and safety measures, they are still capable of unpredictable behaviour and acting ‘out of character’. VIPs participate with this understanding and at their own risk. Cannon Hall Farm is not liable for any accidents, loss, or damage due to unpredictable behaviour.
  • Please contact Cannon Hall Farm with any special requirements before booking to find out the experiences available.
  • Our experiences are all on foot and have different mobility requirements so please take this into account when booking.

Cancellation or Changes to a VIP experience booking by the customer or Cannon Hall Farm

  • Cannon Hall Farm requires VIP guests to arrive at the farm entrance 15 minutes in advance of their experience start time.
  • Cannon Hall Farm reserves the right to cancel your experience/tour with no refund if you arrive later than your pre-booked start time.
  • Once a tour/experience has begun it will be at the discretion of Cannon Hall Farm's team to determine if it is possible to join a shared experience, as there are strict animal routines which must be adhered to in order to deliver the experiences/tours.
  • Cannon Hall Farm cannot be held responsible for the weather, and experiences will go ahead regardless of the conditions. However, in exceptional circumstances if the experience is cancelled by Cannon Hall Farm, due to weather constraints, an alternative date will be arranged.
  • Cannon Hall Farm reserves the right to alter the itinerary on any given day due to animal welfare and based on the weather conditions, but will ensure that if so, your activity will be replaced with another similar one or your original experience will be delivered but with a different view or itinerary.
  • Cannon Hall Farm reserves the right to alter dates, times and prices or facilities for any reason without any prior notice.
  • The management reserves the right to move animals or make alterations or improvements. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.
  • Cannon Hall Farm reserves the right to reschedule any of the booked dates for the experiences and will provide as much notice as possible; however, this cannot always be guaranteed.
  • Once the experience/tour date has been booked, it cannot be rescheduled and is non-refundable unless due to exceptional circumstances: e.g.: serious illness/injury, pregnancy or bereavement. This is at Cannon Hall Farm's discretion.
  • If an experience is cancelled by Cannon Hall Farm, then an alternative date will be arranged.
  • If for any reason the ownership of the voucher is in contention, we will automatically defer the ownership to the purchaser whose details were given on purchase.
  • If you do not wish to redeem your VIP Animal Experience you can credit it into your account to the value of the experience. This credit can then be used to purchase standard farm admission tickets at a time of your choosing.

Cancellation or Changes to a VIP experience booking by the customer or Cannon Hall Farm

  • You must have the authority to supply payment details. By confirming your order, you acknowledge that you are the account holder, or have express permission from the account holder to place an order for the amount confirmed at checkout. This includes purchases where account credit is the method of payment.
  • A ticket may be credited to your passport account if cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the arrival time stated on your ticket. You must have registered for a Cannon Hall Farm Passport account in order to do so and have authority or permission from the original purchaser.
  • Account credit may be used as a method of payment for farm admission, car parking and animal feed.
  • Occasionally, special voucher codes or promotions may be advertised. These can be entered at checkout. Only genuine codes will be accepted on our website. Only one promotion or voucher code may be used at a time.

Farm passes

  • You must have a Cannon Hall Farm passport account to purchase and redeem farm passes.
  • Farm passes (bulk tickets) are none refundable and are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
  • Once your passes have expired, they will vanish from your passport account and will no longer be available to use.
  • Expired passes cannot be replaced.
  • No cash alternative will be given and the passes are not replaceable in the event of loss or damage.
  • Passes are valid for farm admission only, and are not valid on special, premium events including, but not limited to, pantomimes, evening music events, pumpkin festival, and Christmas. Passes cannot be used for VIP experiences.
  • If you book in using a farm pass, and need to change the date of your visit, you can do so provided it is at least 48 hours before the time of arrival. In this case, passes from a cancelled booking will be automatically returned to your passport account. A refunded pass must be used within 6 months of being returned to your passport account.
  • Farm passes cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or deal.

Accessibility guide

  • The White Bull restaurant and The Lucky Pup café are located just outside the entrance to the farm attraction. You do not need an admission ticket or booking to enter.
  • The Hungry Llama restaurant and soft play area are inside the farm, and as such, you will need farm admission to enter.
  • Kiosks and pop-up food vans may be available on busier days.
  • Please make any allergies or intolerances known to a member of staff when ordering food or drink from any of our restaurants, cafés or kiosks.

Photography and CCTV

  • We (and occasionally, third parties) regularly livestream, film and photograph our premises and animals.
  • Please make a member of staff aware if you do not wish to be filmed.
  • Intellectual property rights apply, and we have the right to use footage and photographs for the purpose of promotion on any platform.
  • Visitors may take photographs and videos for personal use only. Filming and photography for public broadcast, commercial purposes, or training is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Cannon Hall Farm Ltd.
  • CCTV is in operation throughout our premises. This is for the security and safety of our animals, staff members and members of the public.
